Forging New Partnerships – Launch of Belfast Partners in London

Members of the Jago team will join 150 senior executives from Belfast and London today, 28th February, for the Belfast Partners Launch Event, sharing knowledge and expertise of doing business between the cities.

Sponsored by Belfast City Council and hosted by Thomson Reuters in Canary Wharf, London, the event will raise Belfast’s profile in London, and enable city leaders, companies and academic institutions to grow their London network, forge new partnerships and build sustainable business between Belfast and London.

For London-based business leaders, the event will provide insights into opportunities for investment, access to expertise and collaborative partnerships in Belfast.

We couldn’t agree more that the opportunities to do business in Northern Ireland are plentiful with forward-thinking and leading businesses in many sectors including financial, legal & professional services, fintech, engineering & technology, construction and agrifood, to name a few.

With our expanding national client base, we are looking forward to developing new partnerships through Belfast Partners. Kudos to the great work of Belfast City Council in launching the initiative. Events like this will help businesses like ours to develop our network and highlight the opportunities that exist for ambitious NI companies in global cities like London.

The event’s objectives are also in line the economic growth ambitions of the draft Industrial Strategy for Northern Ireland, recently published by Economy Minister Simon Hamilton. The Strategy, Economy 2030, sets out a plan to turn Northern Ireland into one of the world’s most innovative and competitive small advanced economies. It is an ambitious, long term vision to transform Northern Ireland into a globally competitive economy with low unemployment rates, increased economic activity, growing exports, and rising tourism visitors and spending.

We are looking forward to meeting like-minded businesses at the launch of Belfast Partners in Canary Wharf this evening with presentations from speakers including Suzanne Wylie, Chief Executive of Belfast City Council and from Russ Shaw, Chief Executive of Tech London Advocates. A senior UK Government representative will also deliver his view of the future for Belfast.

For Jago, Belfast Partners is one of a number of initiatives we are involved in this year as part of our work to help NI business grow their national and international profile and sales with effective PR and communications.

If you’re going to be at the event this evening, please say hello to our colleagues Shona & Ashley!
