Jago has delivered Event Management Services and PR and Communications for the first two years of Powered by Talent, for our client Abacus Recruitment. Powered by Talent is Ireland’s largest employee engagement conference held in the ICC Belfast, bringing together over 400 high calibre business leaders from a wide cross-section of industries for a packed one-day programme. The programme also included a breakout session from our MD Shona Jago-Curtis on ‘Harnessing the power of communications to attract, retain, motivate and engage talent in your organisation’.

What was our approach?+

We developed an in-depth PR and communications calendar for the UK and Ireland to raise awareness, build momentum and drive ticket sales for the conference. This included a range of media announcements, sector media releases, thought-leadership pieces and broadcast interviews, as well as maximising support from all conference sponsors and engaging the diaspora community. In addition, we delivered a successful event management programme including smooth event set up and schedule throughout the day, with keynote speeches from Debora Searle MBE, Lady Chanelle McCoy, Dr Louise McCullough and Chief EY Economist Professional Neil Gibson.

What was the impact?+

The event attendance and ticket sales exceeded targets within its first year, with more sponsors and exhibitors involved in year two. Extremely positive feedback was collated from attendees through the innovative conference networking app in 2019. In addition, over 100 pieces of media coverage was secured across the two years across NI, Republic of Ireland and mainland UK, ultimately raising the profile and reputation of our client Abacus Recruitment generating leads from clients and candidates.
