US FDA Clearance for B-Secur’s HeartKey® EKG/ECG technology

In January 2021, we began working with B-Secur, a Belfast based global technology company. Jago was tasked with amplifying B-Secur’s major announcement that they had just received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Clearance for their innovative HeartKey® software. In short, enabling the rapid integration of their advanced heart algorithms within wearable devices in the consumer wellness, health monitoring & med-tech sectors. The story was not only a proud moment for the tech industry in Northern Ireland, but more importantly a major development for heart health innovation worldwide.

What was our approach?+


Jago orchestrated a multi-phased PR campaign to reach key media and stakeholders in the health & med-tech sectors across the US, EMEA and UK. Alongside the initial release, our approach included a range of targeted thought leadership pieces, partner and stakeholder engagement and industry analyst outreach.
With a key focus also being on maximizing the announcement on B-Secur’s digital channels, ahead of the initial launch we worked with the team to capture a range of photography and engaging video content which formed the basis of our social media launch strategy.

What was the impact?+


Our initial launch for B-Secur’s FDA announcement reached key media targets across the US, UK & EMEA including Yahoo Finance, Mobi health News, Mobile ID World, Med Tech Innovation, Cardiac Rhythm News, Cardiovascular News, Silicon, NS Business & Biometric Update. Our outreach also led to a number of key interviews, podcast opportunities and analyst discussions.
Our digital campaign also had huge success on B-Secur’s channels, resulting in a 298% increase in unique website visitors across the outreach period, as well as a 2,037% increase in post engagements on Twitter and 353% increase in post impressions on LinkedIn.
A particular highlight on social media was the performance of the campaign video which was viewed over 6,000 times, receiving over 150 reactions, comments & shares from key stakeholders across LinkedIn & Twitter.
