Celebrating Northern Ireland on the World Stage in 2019
At Jago, we are incredibly proud to reveal the very exciting project that we have been keeping under wraps. With Tourism NI, and a mix of contemporary sports, music, film, poetry and tourism talent, Northern Ireland was celebrated tonight, marking the beginning of the fantastic year ahead.
The spectacular evening took place at Titanic Belfast, unveiling Northern Ireland on the world stage. It was thrilling to watch this project come to life, with such a buzz on and off the red carpet, spotting many well-known faces!
With The Open reaching Northern Ireland’s shores in July for the first time in over half a century, the premiere of the specially commissioned “We’ve Come a Long Way” film, accompanied by a mesmerising a live orchestra composition, created a spine-tingling moment. It was exciting to share the emotive voices of Northern Ireland actors Ian McElhinney, Bronagh Waugh, Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Shaun Blaney. We really enjoyed working with award-winning Director Marty Stalker, creating the stunning film with backdrops of beautiful Northern Ireland landscapes, as well as the talented renowned pianist Michael McHale. And what an amazing poem from local poet Paula Matthews!
