Account Executive

As Account Executive, you are ultimately responsible for conducting the day-to-day account execution and administration for a wide range of consumer and corporate clients.

This includes completing all support tasks as directed to execute the strategies and activities as detailed by the account team and ensure your client accounts are well organised and structured in terms of time and administration.


Client Delivery and Strategy

  • Assisting the Account team to ensure that all communication with clients is of the highest quality
  • Liaising with clients on regular basis. Producing activity/opportunity reports
  • Identifying PR and communications opportunities across the traditional media and digital landscape
  • Ensuring media coverage is captured and delivered to clients
  • Participating actively in meetings, including assisting in the preparation for the meeting and in presentation elements
  • Participating in presentations to existing clients and at new business pitches
  • Contributing to new business brainstorms
  • Developing an ability to be able to brief all suppliers

Campaign Planning and Execution

  • Developing an understanding of how the media works, identifying available opportunities, building relationships with across all media including print, broadcast and digital
  • Managing the end-to-end process of media release distribution and follow-ups
  • Helping to develop pitches and sell in items to media as directed, verbal and written
  • Proactively looking for opportunities, working alongside the account team
  • Making verbal approaches confidently to all journalists – consumer, business-to-business and trade – to sell in news, feature and broadcast ideas and discuss opportunities
  • Assisting in the organisation of events; ranging from creative workshops, photography and videography shoots media events, and training days etc. on behalf of clients
  • Writing high quality coherent and factually accurate media releases and materials that require minimal amendments


  • Reviewing and proofing written materials
  • Creating accurate written communications
  • Undertaking media and administration desk research for new business pitches and current client programmes
  • Handling all administration for accounts including filing, media coverage, etc.
  • Content creation for the agency’s social media channels
  • Maintaining the Agency’s main media lists
  • Assistance with general maintenance of the tidiness of the office premises
  • Other admin duties as and when required


  • A minimum of one year’s agency experience, for this role it can include university placement or internship
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel between Belfast and Dublin as required

Senior Account Executive

As Senior Account Executive you will be responsible for the effective management of day-to-day client relationships, across the consumer and corporate landscape, for providing a highly responsive, quality service and for building strong media relationships.



Client Account Management

  • Actively liaise with clients to meet their requirements, attending client planning and review meetings as necessary and responding to queries in a timely manner
  • Build strong relationships and networks across the broad media landscape from print, broadcast, digital, business and trade.
  • Proactive and reactive media monitoring and engagement, including identifying new opportunities to promote clients and reacting quickly to events
  • Support the account team in the delivery of agency services as required, getting involved in creative brainstorms and managing PR campaigns and individual jobs from client brief through to completion and delivery
  • Research target media, produce distribution lists and compile forward features
  • Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media
  • Promote news stories and features to the media, ‘pitching’
  • Draft copy for client collateral, including digital content, thought leadership and feature articles, and broader marketing materials
  • Escalate issues to your line manager/Director in a timely manner
  • Prepare regular client reports and attend client meetings, including the weekly status reports and invoices
  • Collate, analyse and evaluate media coverage using appropriate metrics
  • Scanning of daily and monthly media titles for relevant client/competitor information and monthly preparation of client coverage files
  • Manage events, including media events
  • Source and produce client quotations for photography, videography, print, promotional items and other client purchase requirements
  • Coordinate studio or location photography and videography
  • Undertake research for new business proposals and support the pitch presentation development
  • Attend and promote Jago at relevant busines and media events
  • Assist in the general maintenance of the tidiness of the office premises

Account Manager

As Account Manager you will be the lead client contact in the management and coordination of a clients of all sizes across the consumer and corporate landscape.

You will have 3 to 4 years’ minimum experience in a PR agency, ideally with proven media relations experience across the UK & Ireland. You will have excellent experience in client liaison, writing and communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative and manage other members of staff as required.   You will also be confident using social and digital media, as well as having loads of enthusiasm and creative ideas.


You will be involved in all aspects of the business, including maintaining good day to day working relationships with clients, producing presentations to a high standard, media relations, crisis management, press office and event management activity both on and off event as well as playing a role in new business pitches.


  • Confident ability of account handling with a passion and strength in building client relationships
  • Strong management skills
  • Prepare videography and photography briefs
  • Confident in using social media platforms, to include LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube for business purposes
  • Create and deliver social media strategies and content plans
  • Manage and participate in client / agency meetings and development meetings
  • Attend /participate in PR industry events (including weekend / evening events when required)
  • Industry knowledge
  • Pitching and placing features and coming up with creative stories
  • Support clients with developed media relations skills, with media contacts ideally across the UK and Ireland, including an ability to identify strong content ideas, identify specific media targets and manage the placement of content within the media
  • Plan and manage events ranging from photo and videography shoots, media events, training days etc
  • Management of client sponsorship portfolios 
  • Keeping ahead of PR services that will enhance the agency’s client offering
  • Create and develop communication annual strategies for clients
  • Plan and implement communications plans including research and brainstorming campaigns
  • Writing well-informed copy for media releases, trade copy and digital content
  • Prepare regular work-in progress reports for clients / director on a weekly basis
  • Read relevant trade, consumer and business media in NI, Republic of Ireland and GB bringing important issues to the attention of the director and colleagues
  • Preparation of monthly client invoices
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years’ agency experience
  • Drivers licence and access to own vehicle
  • Travel between Belfast and Dublin and across the UK may be required from time to time
