We’re story tellers at Jago and we’ve loved working with our client, Carlichauns Entertainment to bring to life a magical project which is bringing centuries old Irish folklore to a new digital global audience.
Carlichauns Entertainment is introducing the Carlichauns, the County Louth seaside town of Carlingford’s very own leprechauns, to TVs and devices around the world with a series of 26 children’s CGI programmes and an immersive app.
Tapping into a media appetite for new and exciting Irish stories in the run-up to St Patrick’s Day, our launch story secured widespread pieces of coverage across national and regional titles in Northern Ireland, the Republic, Scotland and England.
The brainchild of Tim Patterson, formerly with BBC, Disney and Nickelodeon, and the Last Leprechaun Whisperer of Ireland, Kevin Woods, Carlichauns is a reimagining of Kevin’s 30 year old brand, ‘The Last Leprechauns of Ireland’ fit for a modern, global audience.
We also secured several broadcast interviews as Kevin enchanted broadcasters with his tales of the Carlichauns and the exciting plans for the brand. As a result of our work, in the very first week of launching the app it stormed into the Top Six in the free apps charts.
Importantly, not only did our work to launch the Carlichauns strike a chord with media, it also put this exciting new company on the radar of several important investors. Talk about a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!
